Currency Regulations 2(Amendment)

  

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Currency Act 1965.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Currency Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

 

2.   Regulation 4 (Designs of coins)

2.1    Subparagraph 4 (d) (vi):

Omit the subparagraph, insert:

 

 “(vi) in the case of a coin of the denomination of 50 cents, other than a coin referred to in subparagraph (vii), (viii), (viiia), (viiib), (viiibaa), (viiibab) or (viiibac)—the figures ‘50’ and a representation of the arms of the Commonwealth;”.

  

3.   Regulation 7 (The Schedule to the Act)

3.1    Paragraphs 7 (8) (h) and (i):

Omit “expressions”, substitute “standard composition”.

  

4.   Schedule (Weight dimensions and remedy of coins)

4.1   Column 6:

Amendments as set out in the following table:
