  1. Name of Determination [see Note 1]

This Determination is Currency Determination No. 4 of 1998.

  1. Commencement

(1)   Subject to subclauses (2) and (3), this Determination is taken to have commenced on 20 March 1998.

(2)   Items 117 to 122, 205, 207, 208 and 221 to 226 of the Schedule are taken to have commenced on 1 April 1998.

(3)   Items 123 to 131, 209 to 211 and 227 to 235 of the Schedule commence on 17 July 1998.

  1. Specification of coins

This Determination specifies, for a coin having the denomination and standard composition specified in columns 1 and 2 of Part 1 of the Schedule, the standard weight, the allowable variation from that weight, the dimensions and the design set out in columns 3, 4 and 5 of that Part.

  1. Application of Determination

This Determination does not affect any other determination of the specifications of a coin.
