CROWN LANDS ACT 1989—REGULATION

(Relating to the declaration of irrigation areas as special land districts)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Crown Lands Act 1989, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1 July 1996.

Amendment

2. The Crown Lands Regulation 1995 is amended:

(a) by omitting from clause 5 the words “an irrigation area or”;

(b) by omitting from the heading to Schedule 2 the words “NOT IN AN IRRIGATION AREA OR” and by inserting instead the words “NOT IN A”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to omit references to irrigation areas from the Crown Lands Regulation 1995. Irrigation areas within Crown lands have become special land districts.

This Regulation is made under the Crown Lands Act 1989, including section 184 (the

general regulation making power).
