E it Enacted by the Governor of the province of

South Australia,

House of Assembly of the said province, in this present Parliament

B with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and

assembled, as follows:

1. The true interpretation of the " Taxation Act, 1884," is and Interpretation cif

section 7 of

always has been that land of the Crown, subject to any agreement

bet, 1181.97

for sale or right of purchase, whilst so subject is and always has been liable to taxation, whether ~ u c h agrecmen t or right is absolute or conditional, and whether such agreement or right is capable of completion or exercise immediately or at any future time, and the taxpayer in respect of such land is and always has been the person entitled to the benefit of such agreement or right of purchase.
