No. VIII.

An Ordinance to empower the Governor of Western Australia to purchase certain certificates of remission in the price of Crown Lands.

HEREAS divers persons have given and surrendered lands

to Her Majesty, her heirs and successors, in consideration

of Certificates of Remission in the price of Waste Crown Lands, at

the rate of Twenty shillings per acre of such Land, conctitionally

that the said Remission Certificates should be applied towards the

expense of erecting Western Australia into an Episcopal See ;

should be authorised to purchase at a reduced rate such Remis-

sion Certificates, which would otherwise eventually affect the

Land Revenue of the Crown to the full value of such Certificates ;
