An Ordinance to give Legal Operation to Land Grants
made to Deceased Persons.
(Assented to 22nd June, 1857.
| Preamble | HEREAS persons have at various times contracted with the proper authorities for the purchase of Crown lands in Western Australia, and have died before the execution of any grant of the same, and other similar cases may occur, and it is expedient to authorise in any such case the execution of a grant of any such land to the deceased contractor for the same as grantee thereof : Be it there- fore enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Western Australia and its Dependencies, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows, viz. :— |
Grant in 11(1/110 of 1. In every case in which the purchaser of any land shall have

Transfer of Real Property
in the heir-at-law, or devisee, of such purchaser, or in the person for the time being by law entitled in like manner as if the person named as the grantee in such grant had been living at the time of the execution thereof, and had afterwards died.
