An Act to enable the Right Reverend Wil l iam Lanigan the Reverend Michael Slattery Daniel O'Brien and Michael Tully Trustees of certain land in the County of King Parish of Crookwell Town of Crookwell to sell the said land and to provide for the appropriation of the proceeds thereof. [1st July, 1887.]

here to was gran ted u n t o the R i g h t Reve rend W i l l i a m L a n i g a n the

heirs and assigns u p o n t ru s t for t h e appropr ia t ion thereof as t he site of a dwell ing-house ga rden and other appur t enances for t h e c le rgyman duly appoin ted to officiate in t h e R o m a n Cathol ic C h u r c h A n d whereas i t has been found t h a t t he said sites for a church and presbytery are unsu i t ab le for t he purposes for which t h e y were respectively g ran ted and i t is expedient t h a t t h e said land should be sold and t h a t t he proceeds to arise from such sale should be applied in or towards t he erection of a church and presbytery u p o n ano the r site a n d for other purposes hereinafter ment ioned Be i t therefore enacted

consent of t h e Legis la t ive Council a n d Legis la t ive Assembly of N e w
South Wales in Pa r l i amen t assembled and by the au tho r i t y of t he
same as follows :—
1. I t shall be lawful for t h e said R i g h t Reve rend W i l l i a m

L a n i g a n and Reverend Michae l S la t te ry Danie l O'Brien a n d Michae l Tul ly or other t h e Trustees or Trustee for t he t ime being hereinaf ter styled Trustees to sell and dispose of t h e said l and described in t h e Schedules here to e i ther by public auc t ion or pr ivate cont rac t and ei ther in one lot or in several lots as t hey shall deem most expedient and for such pr ice or prices as can be h a d or obta ined for t h e same and upon such t e rms a n d condit ions of sale as t h e said Trustees m a y deem expedient and to b u y in t h e said lands or any p a r t or par t s thereof a t any auction sale or to rescind or va ry t he t e r m s of any cont rac t for t he sale of t h e said lands or any p a r t or par t s thereof and t ransfer and assure t h e same or any pa r t or par t s thereof in fee s imple to t he purchaser or purchasers thereof his he r or the i r assigns freed or discharged from each and all t he t rus t s affecting t he same and t h e receipt in wr i t ing of t h e said Trustees the i r heirs or assigns shall be an effectual d ischarge to t h e purchase r or purchasers of t h e said l and or any pa r t or par t s thereof and shall exonera te h i m or t h e m from seeing to t he appl icat ion of any proceeds

2. The said Trustees the i r heirs or assigns shall s tand possessed
of all moneys ar is ing f rom each and every such sale or sales as afore­
said a n d after t h e p a y m e n t of t h e ac tua l and reasonable expenses of
such

S C H E D U L E S .

FIRST SCHEDULE.

All that piece or parcel of land in our said Colony containing by admeasurement one acre be the same more or less situated in the county of King and parish of Crook- well town of Crookwell allotments one and two of section seventeen commencing at the western corner of the section and bounded thence on the south-west by Cowper-strcet south-easterly four chains on the south-east by the north-western boundary line of allotment three appropriated for a Roman Catholic Presbytery north-easterly at right angles to Cowper-street two chains fifty links to a lane on the north-east by that lane north-westerly parallel with Cowper-street four chains to Spring-street and on the north­ west by that street south-westerly two chains fifty links to the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

All that piece or parcel of land in our said Colony containing by admeasurement two roods be the same more or less situated in the county of King and parish of Crook­ well town of Crookwell allotment three of section seventeen commencing on the north­ eastern side of Cowper-street at the southern corner of allotment two being part of the appropriation for a Roman Catholic Church and bounded thence on the south-west by that street south-easterly two chains on the south-east by the north-western boundary line of allotment four north-easterly at right angles to Cowper-street two chains fifty links to a lane on the north-east by that lane north-westerly parallel with Cowper-street two chains and on the north-west by the south-eastern boundary line of allotment two aforesaid south-westerly at right angles to Cowper-street two chains fifly links to the point of commencement.
