An Act to amend the Criminal Procedure Act 1986 to provide for the extension of the Sentence Indication Hearings Pilot Scheme conducted in the District Court. [Assented to 12 December 1994]

The Legislature of New South Wales enacts:

Short title

l . This Act may be cited as the Criminal Procedure (Sentence

Indication Hearings) Amendment Act 1994.

Commencement

2. This Act commences on a day to be appointed by proclamation.

Amendment of Criminal Procedure Act 1986 No. 209

3. The Criminal Procedure Act 1986 is amended as set out in

Schedule 1.

SCHEDULE l-AMENDMENTS

(Sec. 3)

Section 52 (Application):

In section 52 (l) , after “a practice note”, insert “or

practice notes”.

From section 52 (l) , omit “ 1995”, insert instead “1996". 1996”.
