MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Criminal Procedure Amendment (Justices and Local Courts) Act 2001, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 19 April 2002 as the day on which Schedule 1 [17] to that Act commences.

Explanatory note
The object of this proclamation is to commence provisions to be inserted in the Criminal Procedure
Act 1986 relating to descriptions of offences and short descriptions of offences.

This proclamation is made under section 2 of the Act.
