I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Criminal Legislation Amendment Act 1995, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 July 1995 as the day on which that Act (other than the amendments to the Criminal Procedure Act 1986 in Schedule 1.4 (2), (3) and (4)) commences.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the Criminal Legislation Amendment Act 1995, which makes miscellaneous amendments to certain Acts relating to criminal law and procedure. The Proclamation does not commence certain amendments to uncommenced provisions of the Criminal Procedure Act 1986.
