Governor,	of the Order of Australia (Military Division), Military Cross, Governor of the State of Western Australia.

I, the Governor, acting under section 2 (2) of the Criminal Law Amendment Act 1996, and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, fix 1 January 1997 as the day on which sections 34 and 39 of that Act come into operation.
