Criminal Investigation (Identifying People)

Amendment Regulations 2015

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Criminal Investigation (Identifying
People) Amendment Regulations 2015.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)

regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette (gazettal day);

(b) the rest of the regulations —
(i) Corruption and Crime Commission
Amendment (Misconduct) Act 2014 section 5

if the gazettal day — on the day after gazettal day; or

(ii)      otherwise — when section 5 comes into operation.

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Criminal Investigation (Identifying
People) Regulations 2002.

4.             Regulation 5 amended

Delete regulation 5(aa) and insert:

(aa) an officer appointed under the Corruption,
Crime and Misconduct Act 2003 section 179; or
(ab) a public service officer employed in the Public
Sector Commission, but only if the forensic
purpose of the disclosure concerns a matter that
is relevant to the functions of the Public Sector
Commissioner under the Corruption, Crime
and Misconduct Act 2003; or
