Criminal Investigation (Identifying People)

Amendment Regulations 2006

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.            Citation

These regulations are the Criminal Investigation (Identibiing

27 June 2006 GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, WA 2305

2.           The regulations amended

The amendments in these regulations are to the Criminal
Investigation (Identifying People) Regulations 2002*.

3.            Regulation 3 amended

After regulation 3(2) the following subregulations are
inserted -

"

(3) The office of fisheries officer to which appointments
are made under section 11 of the Fish Resources
Management Act 1994 is prescribed under
section 5(1)(a) of the Act.
(4) The powers in the Act that a holder of the office of
fisheries officer may exercise are specified under
section 5(1 )(b) of the Act to be all the powers that the
Act provides may be exercised by a public officer.

4.            Regulation 4 amended

(1) Regulation 4(1) is amended as follows: after paragraph (a) by inserting " or ";

(a)

(b)

after paragraph (c) by deleting the full stop and inserting -

or

(d) a fisheries officer appointed under section 11 of

the Fish Resources Management Act 1994 who
has satisfactorily completed a course of training
approved for this paragraph under
subregulation (3).
(2) Regulation 4(3) is amended as follows:
(a) after paragraph (a) by inserting - " or ";
(b) in paragraph (b), by deleting "(1)(c)," and inserting instead -

(1)(c)or(d), ".

5.            Regulation 6 amended

Regulation 6 is amended in the Table, in the item relating to the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000 of Queensland, by deleting "Chapter 8" and inserting instead —

" Chapter 8A ".
