Criminal Investigation Amendment

Regulations 2021

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Criminal Investigation Amendment
Regulations 2021.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these

regulations are published in the Gazette;

(b) the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Criminal Investigation
Regulations 2007.

4.             Regulation 8 replaced

Delete regulation 8 and insert:

8.             Authorised person prescribed (s. 120)

For the purposes of section 120, each of the following

persons is an authorised person —

(a)	an assessor as defined in the Criminal Injuries Compensation Act 2003 section 3;
(b)	a member of the police force of another State or of a Territory.
