1Name

This instrument is the Criminal Code (Terrorist Organisation—Jama’at Mujahideen Bangladesh) Regulations 2018.

2Commencement

1. (1)

   Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

4Terrorist organisation – Jama’at Mujahideen Bangladesh

1. (1)

   For the purposes of paragraph (b) of the definition of terrorist organisation in subsection 102.1(1) of the Criminal Code, the organisation known as Jama’at Mujahideen Bangladesh is specified.

2. (2)

   Jama’at Mujahideen Bangladesh is also known by the following names:

   1. (a)

      Islamic State‑Bangladesh;

   2. (b)

      Islamic State of Iraq and Levant‑Bangladesh;

   3. (c)

      Islamic State of Iraq and Syria‑Bangladesh;

   4. (d)

      Jamaat Mujahideen Bangladesh;

   5. (e)

      Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh;

   6. (f)

      Jamaat ul Mujahideen Bangladesh;

   7. (g)

      Jamayetul Mujahideen Bangladesh;

   8. (h)

      JMB;

   9. (i)

      Neo‑JMB.
