Criminal Code Act 1995 .Dated 17 July 2003

These Regulations are the
Criminal Code Amendment Regulations 2003 (No. 9) .
These Regulations are taken to have commenced on 5 June 2003.
Schedule 1 amends the
Criminal Code Regulations 2002 .
(regulation 3)
substitute
(1) For paragraph (b) of the definition of
terrorist organisation in subsection 102.1 (1) of the Code, each organisation mentioned in Schedule 1 is specified.(2) For subregulation (1), an organisation is mentioned in Schedule 1 if the name of the organisation, or another name by which the organisation is known, is mentioned in Schedule 1.
(3) For paragraph (c) of the definition of
terrorist organisation in subsection 102.1 (1) of the Code, each Hizballah organisation mentioned in Schedule 1A is specified.(4) For subregulation (3), a Hizballah organisation is mentioned in Schedule 1A if the name of the organisation, or another name by which the organisation is known, is mentioned in Schedule 1A.
Note A regulation specifying an organisation for the purposes of paragraph (b) or (c) of the definition ofterrorist organisation in subsection 102.1 (1) of the Code ceases to have effect on the second anniversary of the day on which it takes effect — see subsections 102.1 (3) and (8) of the Code.
