These Regulations are the Criminal Code Amendment Regulations 2002 (No. 1).

2Commencement

These Regulations commence on gazettal.

    Schedule 1 amends the Criminal Code Regulations 2002.

  2. (2)

    Schedule 2 amends the Criminal Code Regulations 2002, as amended by Schedule 1.

4Terrorist organisations

  1. (1)

    For paragraph (c) of the definition of terrorist organisation in subsection 102.1 (1) of the Code, the organisations mentioned in Schedule 1 are specified.

  2. (2)

    For subregulation (1), an organisation is mentioned in Schedule 1 if the name of the organisation, or another name by which the organisation is known, is mentioned in Schedule 1.

Note Subsection 102.1 (5) of the Code provides that a regulation made specifying an organisation for the purposes mentioned in this regulation ceases to have effect on the second anniversary of the day on which it takes effect.
