The Supreme Court Rule Committee has made the following rules of court under the

Supreme Court Act 1970.

Explanatory note

The object of these Rules is to amend the Criminal Appeal Rules to update references to provisions of the Electronic Transactions Act 2000 that were renumbered by the Electronic Transactions Amendment Act 2010.

1      Name of Rules

These Rules are the Criminal Appeal Rules (Amendment No 1) 2010.

2      Commencement

These Rules commence on the day on which they are published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Criminal Appeal Rules

(1) Rule 2A Definitions

Omit “section 14B of” from rule 2A (1).

Insert instead “clause 2 of Schedule 1 to”.

(2) Rule 2C Electronic filing of documents
Omit “section 14E of” from rule 2C (3) (b).
Insert instead “clause 5 of Schedule 1 to”.
(3) Rule 2G Use of ECM system in business conducted in the absence of
the public
Omit “section 14I of” from rule 2G (1).
Insert instead “clause 9 of Schedule 1 to”.
