Criminal Amendment Rules 2017

We, the Honourable Alan Michael Blow, OAM, Chief Justice, and the Honourable Shan Eve Tennent, the Honourable Helen Marie Wood, the Honourable Stephen Peter Estcourt, the Honourable Robert William Pearce and the Honourable Michael Joseph Brett, Puisne Judges of the Supreme Court of Tasmania make the following Rules of Court under section 12(1) of the Criminal Code Act 1924 .

1Short titleThese Rules of Court may be cited as the Criminal Amendment Rules 2017 . 2CommencementThese Rules of Court take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette. 3Principal RulesIn these Rules of Court, the Criminal Rules 2006 are referred to as the Principal Rules. 4Rule 11 amended (Requirements for victim impact statement) Rule 11(c) of the Principal Rules is amended by omitting "20 pages, including" and substituting "10 pages, excluding".
