Crimes Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Crimes Act 1914.

1.   Commencement

1.1 These Regulations commence on

 4 November 1996.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Crimes Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 5 (State laws prescribed for the purposes of subsection 19AZD (3) of the Act)

3.1   Paragraph 5 (1) (d):

Omit the paragraph, substitute:

• “(d)

  the release of a prisoner under:

  • (i)

    a work release order under Part 4; or

  • (ii)

    a home detention order under Part 5;

 of the Sentence Administration Act 1995 of Western Australia.”.

4.   Regulation 6 (State Laws prescribed for the purposes of section 20AB of the Act)

4.1 Regulation 6:

Add at the end:

• “(e)

  a community based order made under Part 9 of the Sentencing Act 1995 of Western Australia;

• (f)

  an intensive supervision order made under Part 10 of the Sentencing Act 1995 of Western Australia.”.
