1Name of Regulations

These Regulations are the Crimes (Overseas) (Declared Foreign Countries) Regulations 2003.

3Definition

In these Regulations:

Act means the Crimes (Overseas) Act 1964.

4Iraq
  1. (1)

    For paragraph 3C(1)(a) of the Act, Iraq is a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act.

  2. (2)

    For subsection 3C(3) of the Act:

    1. (a)

      Iraq is taken to have been a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on and after 1 July 2009; and

    2. (b)

      Iraq is to cease being a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on 30 June 2019.

5Solomon Islands
  1. (1)

    For paragraph 3C(1)(a) of the Act, Solomon Islands is a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act.

  2. (2)

    For subsection 3C(3) of the Act:

    1. (a)

      Solomon Islands is taken to have been a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on and after 1 July 2009; and

    2. (b)

      Solomon Islands is to cease being a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on 30 June 2019.

6Papua New Guinea
  1. (1)

    For paragraph 3C(1)(a) of the Act, Papua New Guinea is a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act.

  2. (2)

    For subsection 3C(3) of the Act:

    1. (a)

      Papua New Guinea is taken to have been a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on and after 1 July 2009; and

    2. (b)

      Papua New Guinea is to cease being a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on 30 June 2019.

7Afghanistan

(1) For paragraph 3C(1)(a) of the Act, Afghanistan is a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act.

(2)

For subsection 3C(3) of the Act:

  1. (a)

    Afghanistan is taken to have been a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on and after 1 July 2009; and

  2. (b)

    Afghanistan is to cease being a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on 30 June 2019.

8Nauru
  1. (1)

    For paragraph 3C(1)(a) of the Act, Nauru is a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act.

  2. (2)

    For subsection 3C(3) of the Act:

    1. (a)

      Nauru is to start being a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on 10 December 2012; and

    2. (b)

      Nauru is to cease being a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on 9 December 2022.
