Crimes (Overseas) Act 1964 .Dated 18 June 2009

These Regulations are the
Crimes (Overseas) (Declared Foreign Countries) Amendment Regulations 2009 (No. 1) .
These Regulations commence on 1 July 2009.
3 Amendment of Crimes (Overseas) (Declared Foreign Countries) Regulations 2003 Schedule 1 amends the
Crimes (Overseas) (Declared Foreign Countries) Regulations 2003 .

substitute (a) Solomon Islands is taken to have been a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on and after 1 July 2009; and
substitute (b) Solomon Islands is to cease being a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on 30 June 2014.

(1) For paragraph 3C (1) (a) of the Act, Papua New Guinea is a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act.
(2) For subsection 3C (3) of the Act:
(a) Papua New Guinea is taken to have been a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on and after 1 July 2009; and
(b) Papua New Guinea is to cease being a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on 30 June 2014.
(1) For paragraph 3C (1) (a) of the Act, Afghanistan is a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act.
(2) For subsection 3C (3) of the Act:
(a) Afghanistan is taken to have been a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on and after 1 July 2009; and
(b) Afghanistan is to cease being a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on 30 June 2014.
