  1. Name of regulation

This regulation is the Crimes (Overseas) (Declared Foreign Countries) Amendment Regulation 2012 (No. 1).

  1. Commencement

This regulation commences on the day after it is registered.

  1. Amendment of Crimes (Overseas) (Declared Foreign Countries) Regulations 2003

Schedule 1 amends the Crimes (Overseas) (Declared Foreign Countries) Regulations 2003.

Schedule 1          Amendment

(section 3)

[1]          After regulation 7

insert

  1. Nauru

(1)For paragraph 3C (1) (a) of the Act, Nauru is a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act.

(2)For subsection 3C (3) of the Act:

(a)Nauru is to start being a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on 10 December 2012; and

(b)Nauru is to cease being a declared foreign country for the purposes of the Act on 9 December 2017.
