Crimes Legislation Further Amendment New South Wales

Act 2000—Proclamation

GORDON SAMUELS, Governor I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Crimes Legislation Further Amendment Act 2000, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 January 2001 as the day on which sections 1, 2 and 6 of, and Schedule 4 to, that Act commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this proclamation is to commence certain amendments to the Crimes (Forensic Procedures) Act 2000. The amendments enable both authorised officers and Magistrates to make interim orders for the carrying out of certain forensic procedures and make an amendment by way of statute law revision.
