94—Proclamation

GORDON SAMUELS, Governor I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Crimes Legislation Amendment (Sentencing) Act 1999, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 25 February 2000 as the day on which Schedule 4.21 [1] to that Act commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this proclamation is to commence an amendment to section 19 of the Evidence Act 1995 so as to omit a reference to a repealed provision of the Crimes Act 1900 and insert instead a reference to a provision of the Criminal Procedure Act 1986 that has replaced the repealed provision.
