94—Proclamation

GORDON SAMUELS, Governor I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Crimes Legislation Amendment (Sentencing) Act 1999, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 3 April 2000 as the day on which the following provisions of that Act commence:

(a) section 3,

(b)

Schedule 1 (except to the extent to which it repeals the Forfeited Recognizances and Bail Act 1954),

(c) Part 1 of Schedule 3,
(d) the uncommenced provisions of Part 1 of Schedule 4.

Explanatory note
Explanatory note

The object of this proclamation is to commence those provisions of the Act that are consequential on the enactment of the Crimes (Sentencing Procedure) Act 1999 and the Crimes (Administration of Sentences) Act 1999. Schedule 1 to the Act (to the extent to which it repeals of the Forfeited Recognizances and Bail Act 1954) is not to be commenced until the commencement of the Crimes Procedure Legislation Amendment (Bail Agreements) Act 1998. Schedule 4.21 [1] to the Act commenced on 25 February 2000.
