1. Name of regulation

   This regulation is the Crimes (Controlled Operations) Regulation 2017.

2. Commencement

   This regulation commences on the day after its notification day.

   NoteThe naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

3. Corresponding law—Act, dict, def corresponding law

   The following laws are declared to correspond to the Act:

   (a)the Crimes Act 1914 (Cwlth), part 1AB;

   (b)the Law Enforcement (Controlled Operations) Act 1997 (NSW);

   (c)the Crimes (Controlled Operations) Act 2004 (Vic);

   (d)the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000 (Qld), chapter 11;

   (e)the Criminal Investigation (Covert Powers) Act 2012 (WA), part 2;

   (f)the Criminal Investigation (Covert Operations) Act 2009 (SA), part 2;

   (g)the Police Powers (Controlled Operations) Act 2006 (Tas);

   (h)the Police (Special Investigative and Other Powers) Act 2015 (NT), part 2.
