  1. Name of regulation

    This regulation is the Crimes (Assumed Identities) Regulation 2017.

  2. Commencement

    This regulation commences on the day after its notification day.

    NoteThe naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

  3. Corresponding law—Act, dict, def corresponding law

    The following laws are declared to correspond to the Act:

    (a)the Crimes Act 1914 (Cwlth), part 1AC;

    (b)the Law Enforcement and National Security (Assumed Identities) Act 2010 (NSW);

    (c)the Crimes (Assumed Identities) Act 2004 (Vic);

    (d)the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000 (Qld), chapter 12;

    (e)the Criminal Investigation (Covert Powers) Act 2012 (WA), part 3;

    (f)the Criminal Investigation (Covert Operations) Act 2009 (SA), part 3;

    (g)the Police Powers (Assumed Identities) Act 2006 (Tas);

    (h)the Police (Special Investigative and Other Powers) Act 2015 (NT), part 3.
