Crimes (Amendment) Act (No. 5) 1998

An Act to amend the Crimes Act 1900

[Notified in ACT Gazette S212: 23 December 1998]

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

  1. Short title

    This Act may be cited as the Crimes (Amendment) Act (No. 5) 1998.

  2. Commencement

    This Act commences on the day on which it is notified in the Gazette.

  3. Principal Act

    In this Act, “Principal Act” means the Crimes Act 1900.1

  4. Substitution

    Section 428A of the Principal Act is repealed and the following section substituted:

“428A. Application

This Part ceases to have effect on 30 June 1999.”.
