Act No. 9, 1985.
An Act to amend the Crimes Act, 1900, with respect to the offence of stealing property from a dwelling-house and to increase the penalties under that Act for certain offences relating to stolen property. [Assented to, 29th March, 1985.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales'in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
Short title.
1. This Act may be cited as the "Crimes (Amendment) Act, 1985".
Amendment of Act No. 40, 1900.
The Crimes Act, 1900, is amended in the manner set forth in Schedule
1.
SCHEDULE 1.
(Sec. 2.)
AMENDMENTS TO THE CRIMES ACT, 1900.
(1) Section 148—
Omit ", to the value in the whole often dollars or more,".
(2) Section 527c (1)—
Omit "$400", insert instead "$500".
(3) Section 529 (2)—
Omit "$500", insert instead "$2,000".
