Cressy-Longford Irrigation Water District Amendment By-laws 1999

The Rivers and Water Supply Commission, with the consent of the Governor, makes the following by-laws under the Irrigation Clauses Act 1973 in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it as the undertaker of the waterworks known as the Cressy-Longford Irrigation Water District under that Act.

1Short titleThese by-laws may be cited as the Cressy-Longford Irrigation Water District Amendment By-laws 1999 . 2CommencementThese by-laws take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette. 3Principal By-lawsIn these by-laws, the Cressy-Longford Irrigation Water District By-laws 1973 are referred to as the Principal By-laws. 4Clause 2 substitutedClause 2 of the Principal By-laws is rescinded and the following clause is substituted: 2Supply of water for irrigation The Commission is to supply water to lands in the Cressy-Longford Irrigation Water District under – (a) the system of irrigation rights during the irrigation season; and (b) the system of general availability outside the irrigation season.

These by-laws were approved and made by the Rivers and Water Supply Commission at a meeting held on 30 July 1999.

The common seal of the Rivers and Water Supply Commission was affixed on 2 August 1999, in the presence of –
