CREDIT (HOME FINANCE CONTRACTS) ACT 1984—

REGULATION

(Relating to the definition of “home finance contract”)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Credit (Home Finance Contracts) Act 1984, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation takes effect on 1st August, 1992.

Amendment

2. The Credit (Home Finance Contracts) Regulation 1984 is amended:

(a) by omitting from clause 3A the matter “$100,000 and by

inserting instead the matter “$125,008”;

(b)

by omitting from Schedule 1 the words “OR TELEPHONE THE DEPARTMENT’S HEAD OFFICE ON (02) 266 8111”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The purpose of this Regulation is to raise the upper limit of the contracts to

which the Credit (Home Finance Contracts) Act 1984 applies from $100,000 to

$125,000 and to remove an obsolete telephone number from the prescribed form of
notice.
