2 Credit (Credit Society Exemption) No. 319, 1993 ˙ Short title 1. This order in council may be cited as the Credit (Credit Society Exemption) Order 1993 . ˙ Variation of application of Act 2. Parts 3 to 8 of the Act do not have effect in relation to— (a) a credit union within the meaning of the Financial Institutions (Queensland) Code; or (b) a foreign society within the meaning of the Financial Institutions(Queensland) Act 1992 ; or (c) a person or body exempted from section 144(2) of the Financial Institutions (Queensland) Code. ˙ Amended order in council 3. The order in council made under the Act and published in the Gazette on 17 December 1988 at pages 1944–9 is amended by omitting that part of the order comprising Credit (Credit Society Exemption) Order No. 3 of 1988.
