2 Credit Amendment (No. 1) No. 213, 1993 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Credit Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1993 . ˙ Commencement 2. This regulation commences on 1 July 1993. ˙ Amended regulation 3. The Credit Regulation 1988 is amended as set out in this regulation. ˙ Insertion of new s.4A 4. After section 4— insert— ˙ ‘Annual percentage rate ‘4A.(1) The annual percentage rate for the purposes of the Act is 8%. ‘(2) The annual percentage rate prescribed by subsection (1) applies to— (a) loan contracts entered into on or after 1 July 1993; and (b) continuing credit contracts (whether entered into before or after 1 July 1993). ’.
