Arrangement for conduct of election.

[1]        On 6 September 2016, the Western Australian Prison Officers' Union Branch (the

branch) of the CPSU, the Community and Public Sector Union, lodged with the Fair Work

Commission (the Commission) prescribed information for various officers. Following

consultation with the staff of the Commission, replacement prescribed information was

lodged on 24 October 2016 in relation to an election to fill a casual vacancy, for the remainder

of the term of office, in the following office:

Delegate to Branch Council for the following sub branch:

[2]        On the same day the branch also lodged with the Commission replacement prescribed

information in relation to an election, due to insufficient nominations received in previous

elections (E2016/74 and E2016/103), for the following offices:

[3]         I am satisfied that an election for the abovenamed offices is required to be held under

the rules of the organisation and, under subsection 189(3) of the Fair Work (Registered

Organisations) Act 2009, I am making arrangements for the conduct of the election by the

Australian Electoral Commission.
