An Act to amend the following to extend the operation of provisions relating to the COVID‑19 pandemic —
The Criminal Code;
the Criminal Code Amendment (COVID‑19 Response) Act 2020;
the Emergency Management Amendment (COVID‑19 Response) Act 2020.

The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:
Part 1 – Preliminary1.Short titleThis is the COVID‑19 Response Legislation Amendment (Extension of Expiring Provisions) Act (No. 2) 2021.
2.CommencementThis Act comes into operation as follows —
Part 2 – The Criminal Code amended3.Act amendedThis Part amends The Criminal Code.
4.Section 318 amendedIn section 318(1A) delete “21 months” and insert:
27 months
5.Section 338B amendedIn section 338B(2) delete “21 months” and insert:
27 months
Part 3 – Criminal Code Amendment (COVID‑19 Response) Act 2020 amended6.Act amendedThis Part amends the Criminal Code Amendment (COVID‑19 Response) Act 2020.
7.Section 2 amendedIn section 2(b) delete “4 January 2022;” and insert:
4 July 2022;
Part 4 – Emergency Management Amendment (COVID‑19 Response) Act 2020 amended8.Act amendedThis Part amends the Emergency Management Amendment (COVID‑19 Response) Act 2020.
