COVID-19 Omnibus (Emergency Measures) (Commercial Leases and Licences) Amendment Regulations 2021

The Governor in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister for Small Business, makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the COVID-19 Omnibus (Emergency Measures) (Commercial Leases and Licences) Regulations 2020 to amend the definition of SME entity.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 15 of the COVID-19 Omnibus (Emergency Measures) Act 2020.

3Definitions

In regulation 4 of the COVID-19 Omnibus (Emergency Measures) (Commercial Leases and Licences) Regulations 2020[1], for the definition of SME entity substitute—

"SME entity has the meaning given by section 5 of the Guarantee of Lending to Small and Medium Enterprises (Coronavirus Economic Response Package) Rules 2020 of the Commonwealth as in force on 8 April 2020;".
