These regulations may be cited as the
COVID-19 Emergency Response (Section 14) Regulations 2020 .
In these regulations, unless the contrary intention appears—
(a) a reference to the
Act is a reference to theCOVID-19 Emergency Response Act 2020 ; and(b) all other terms appearing under a heading referring to a specified Act will have the same meaning as in the Act so specified.
4 Appointment under South Australian Local Government Grants Commission Act 1992
In accordance with section 14 of the Act, the term of appointment of David James Burgess under section 9(1) of the
South Australian Local Government Grants Commission Act 1992 is extended by a period of 6 months (from the time at which that appointment would otherwise have ceased).
In accordance with section 14 of the Act, the time at which the Public Trustee is required to prepare and file in the court a statement under section 19 of the
Aged and Infirm Persons' Property Act 1940 is postponed to 30 November 2020.
(1) In accordance with section 14 of the Act, the period within which a prescribed association must hold an annual general meeting in accordance with section 39 of the
Associations Incorporation Act 1985 is extended by 6 months.(2) In accordance with section 14 of the Act, the period within which a prescribed association must lodge a periodic return in accordance with regulation 8 of the
Associations Incorporation Regulations 2008 is extended by 6 months.
In accordance with section 14 of the Act, the time or times at which the holder of a licence must provide to the Minister a copy of the audited accounts or a statement under section 15(2) of the
Collections for Charitable Purposes Act 1939 is postponed by 6 months.
In accordance with section 14 of the Act, the time at which the Ombudsman must present a report on an annual audit to the Attorney‑General under section 57 of the
Criminal Law (Forensic Procedures) Act 2007 is postponed to 30 November 2020.
In accordance with section 14 of the Act, the period of 3 months referred to in section 95B(1)(c) of the
Equal Opportunity Act 1984 is extended by 3 months (such that if a complainant is notified of the Commissioner's decision while this regulation is in force, the complainant may, within 6 months of being so notified, by notice in writing, require the Commissioner to refer the complaint to the Tribunal).
In accordance with section 14 of the Act, the period within which a financial statement must be provided to the Minister under regulation 24(za), 26(zd) or 27(m) of the
Lottery and Gaming Regulations 2008 is extended by 6 months.
(1) In accordance with section 14 of the Act, the period of 90 days referred to in paragraph (a) of the definition of
prescribed period in section 19A(3) of theMotor Vehicles Act 1959 is, to the extent necessary, extended from the time at which the period would otherwise have ended until the designated day.(2) In accordance with section 14 of the Act, the period of 3 months referred to in section 97A(1)(b)(i)(A) of the
Motor Vehicles Act 1959 is extended from the time at which the period would otherwise have ended until the designated day.(3) In accordance with section 14 of the Act, the period of 3 months referred to in section 97A(1)(b)(ii) of the
Motor Vehicles Act 1959 is extended from the time at which the period would otherwise have ended until the designated day.(4) In accordance with section 14 of the Act, the period of operation of an instructor's licence issued under section 98A(3) of the
Motor Vehicles Act 1959 before 1 June 2020 and in force on the commencement of this subregulation is extended by a period of 52 days (from the time at which that licence would otherwise have expired).(5) In this regulation—
designated day means the day on which all relevant declarations relating to the outbreak of the human disease named COVID‑19 within South Australia have ceased.
In accordance with section 14 of the Act, the expiry of the
Fire and Emergency Services Regulations 2005 under section 16B of theSubordinate Legislation Act 1978 is postponed until 1 March 2021.

COVID-19 Emergency Response (Section 14) Regulations 2020 were revoked by s 19(5) of theCOVID-19 Emergency Response Act 2020 on 31.5.2021.
