The Parliament of Australia enacts:
This Act is the
COVID‑19 Disaster Payment (Funding Arrangements) Act 2021 .
(1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.
The whole of this Act | The later of: (a) 1 July 2021; and

Note: This table relates only to the provisions of this Act as originally enacted. It will not be amended to deal with any later amendments of this Act.
(2) Any information in column 3 of the table is not part of this Act. Information may be inserted in this column, or information in it may be edited, in any published version of this Act.
In this Act:
COVID‑19 disaster payment means a payment or grant of financial assistance covered by item 492 of the table in Part 4 of Schedule 1AB to theFinancial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Regulations 1997 .
(1) The Consolidated Revenue Fund is appropriated for the purposes of making COVID‑19 disaster payments.
(2) This section applies to COVID‑19 disaster payments made on or after the commencement of this section and before the end of 30 June 2022.
The Coordinator‑General of the National Recovery and Resilience Agency, when preparing that Agency’s annual report under section 46 of the
Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 for the reporting period commencing on 1 July 2021, must include information in that report that relates to COVID‑19 disaster payments made in that period.
