COURTS LEGISLATION FURTHER AMENDMENT ACT 1998
No 172—PROCLAMATION
(L.S.) GORDON SAMUELS, Governor.
I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Courts Legislation Further Amendment Act 1998, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint:
| (a) | 1 January 1999 as the day on which that Act, except for Schedules 1 , 2, 4, 5, 8 , 9 and 10 to that Act. commences, and |
| (b) | 24 December 1998 as the day on which Schedule 4 to that Act commences, and |
| ( c ) | 1 February 1999 as the day on which Schedules 1, 2, 5, 8 and 9 to that Act commence. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This proclamation commences amendments to the following Acts on 1 January 1999: the Industrial Relations Act 1996, the Land and Environmental Court Act 1979 and the Local Courts Act 1982.
I t also commences amendments to the Judicial Officers Act 1986 on 24 December
1998.
Further. it commences amendments to the following Acts on I February 1999: the District Court Act 1973, the Fines Act 1996, the Justices Act 1902, the Local Courts (Civil Claims) Act 1970 and the Suitors’ Fund Act 1951.
Schedule 10 to the Act. which remains uncommenced, deals with amendments to the
Supreme Court Act 1970.
