I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Courts Legislation Further Amendment Act 1995, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 17 May 1996 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the Courts Legislation Further Amendment Act 1995 (namely, Schedule 1.3 [9] and 1.8 [4]). Those provisions relate to the making of orders by the District Court and the Supreme Court in relation to interest on judgment debts.
