I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Courts Legislation (Civil Procedure) Amendment Act 1991 do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 November 1991 as the day on which that Act (except Schedule 2 (1), (2) and (5)) commences.

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!
The object of this Proclamation is to cormmence certain amendments to the Supreme Court Act 1970 the District Court Act 1973 and the Local Courts (Civil Claims) Act 1970. The amendments relate to interest on damages, the interim payment of damages and the liability of a solicitor for costs in the Supreme and District Courts and also increase the limit on a Local Court’s civil jurisdiction.
