COURTS LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1997 NO 47—

PROCLAMATION

(L.S.) GORDON SAMUELS, Governor.

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Courts Legislation Amendment Act 1997, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 August 1997 as the day on which that Act (except for Schedules 3 [2], 4 and 5 [2]) commences.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this proclamation is to commence the provisions of the Courts Legislation Amendment Act 1997 other than the provisions amending the Land and Environment Court Act 1979 (amendments concerned with the determination of certain costs) and those amending the provisions of the District Court Act 1973 and the Supreme Court Act 1970 that deal with leave to appeal against certain judgments and orders of those Courts.
