Court of Petty Sessions Rules (ACT)

1. These Rules shall come into operation on the date fixed under section 2

of the Maintenance Ordinance 1968.t

2 . Rule 50 of the Court of Petty Sessions Rules is repealed.

3.   Rule 67 of the Court of Petty Sessions Rules is amended—

(a) by omitting the words " the Deserted Wives and Children Act, 1901,"; and

(b) by omitting the words " o r the Infants Protection Act, 1904,".

4. Notwithstanding the last preceding rule, the provisions of rule 67 of the Court of Petty Sessions Rules, as in force immediately before the commencement of these Rules, continue to apply to and in relation to proceedings under the Deserted Wives and Children Act, 1901, or the Infants Protection Act, 1904, of the State of New South Wales in their application in the Territory that were instituted before, and had not been completed before, the commencement of these Rules.
