REGULATIONS 1969 No. 4f

1.—(1.) The Court of Petty Sessions Rules, as amended by these Rules, apply

to and in relation to complaints filed on or after the first day of July, 1969.

(2.) Notwithstanding the amendments effected by these Rules, the Court of Petty Sessions Rules, as in force immediately before the commencement of these Rules, continue to apply to and in relation to complaints filed before the first day of July, 1969.

2.—(1.) Rule 30 of the Court of Petty Sessions Rules is amended by omitting

the scale and inserting in its stead the following scale:—

Subject matter On Summons On Judgment

Where the subject matter does not exceed $200 . . 10.00 7.00
Where the subject matter exceeds $200 but does not exceed $400 13.00 9.00
Where the subject matter exceeds $400 but does not exceed $1,000 16.00 11.00

(2.) Rule 30 of the Court of Petty Sessions Rules is amended by adding at

the end thereof the following sub-rule:—

" (2.) The costs to be entered under this rule shall, in a case where, by reason of the fact that a default summons was served outside the Territory, an order is made by the Court for leave to proceed in the action, be increased by an amount of Four dollars.".
