Country Taxi-cars (Fares and Charges)
Amendment Regulations 2013
Made by the Governor in Executive Council.
1. Citation
These regulations are the Country Taxi-cars (Fares and
Charges) Amendment Regulations 2013.2. Commencement
These regulations come into operation as follows —
(a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette; (b) the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day. 3. Regulations amended
These regulations amend the Country Taxi-cars (Fares and
Charges) Regulations 1991.4. Regulation 2A replaced
Delete regulation 2A and insert:
2A. Terms used (1) In these regulations, unless the contrary intention
appears —business entity includes an individual, body corporate,
trust or partnership, who or that carries on business;call out means to arrange for the hiring of a taxi
through a business entity (other than the driver) that, in
the ordinary course of its business, arranges for taxis to
meet persons who wish to hire a taxi;region means a region described in the Regional Development Commissions Act 1993 Schedule 1.
(2)
A term has the same meaning in these regulations as it has in the Transport Co-ordination Act 1966 Part IIIB.

(1) In regulation 3(1):
(a) delete “portion of the State specified in Schedule 1” and insert: region
(b) delete “portion of the State.” and insert: region.
(2) In regulation 3(4) in the definition of designated radius:
(a) in paragraph (a) delete “a portion of the State specified in Schedule 1 Division 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 — a 30 km” and insert: the South West region — a 15 km
(b) in paragraph (b) delete “a portion of the State specified in Schedule 1 Division 6 — a 15 km” and insert: any other region — a 30 km
6. Schedule 1 replaced
Delete Schedule 1 and insert:
