AN ACT to amend the Country Areas Water Supply

Act, 1947-1973.

[Assented to 10th December, 1974.1

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Country Short titie and

Areas Water Supply Act Amendment Act, 1974. citation.

(2) In this Act the Country Areas Water Supply Approved for reprint

Act, 1947-1973 is ref erred to as the principal Act.	8th July, 1971 and amended by Act No. 19 of 1973.
(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Country Areas Water Supply Act, 1947-1974.

ment. 2. This Act shall be deemed to have come into

operation on the first day of July, 1974.

Section 65

amended. 3. Section 65 of the principal Act is amended by adding after subsection (1) the following sub- section

(la) The Minister may from time to time by

notice published in the Gazette

(a)	determine the maximum amount of the water rate to be paid in respect of any holding or, as the case may be, part of a holding, classified for the purposes of the class prescribed pursuant to section sixty-three A of this Act as domestic purposes; and
(b)	vary or revoke any notice published pursuant to paragraph (a) of this subsection,

and where the water rate computed on the estimated net value of a holding or, as the case may be, part of a holding so classified would be an amount in excess of that for the time being determined by the Minister pursuant to this subsection, then the water rate shall be fixed at the amount so determined. .
