Cotton Research Levy Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and after taking into consideration the recommendations made to the Minister for Primary Industries and Energy by the Australian Cotton Growers’ Research Association under subsection 6 (2) of the Cotton Levy Act 1982 with respect to regulations to be made for the purposes of section 5 of that Act, make the following Regulations under that Act.

1. Commencement

1.1 These Regulations commence on 1 January 1992.

2. Amendment

2.1 The Cotton Research Levy Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3. Regulation 4 (Rate of levy)

3.1 Omit “$1.50 per 225 kilograms”, substitute “$1.75 per 227 kilograms”.
