AN ACT to validate the Rates made by the

Council of the Municipality of Cottesloe.

[Assented to 8th September, 1914.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by andwith the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and

Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Par-

liament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

1.     This Act may be cited as the Cottesloe Rates Validation Short title.

Act, 1914.

2.      All rates heretofore made and levied or purporting to have validation of rater

been made and levied by the Council of the Municipality of Cottesloe shall be deemed to have been lawfully made and levied, and all things necessary to be done in and towards the making and levying of such rates shall be deemed to have been duly performed, notwithstanding any failure to comply with any of the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1906, relating thereto, and the

said rates, so far as the Council had power to make and levy the

same, may be recovered by the Council accordingly as if the provisions of the said Act had been in all respects duli, complied with; and the discount allowed by the Council for prompt payment of rates is hereby ratified, notwithstanding that such allowance may not have been authorised by a by-law.
