THE TERRITORY FOR THE SEAT OF

GOVERNMENT.

No. 12 of 1931.

AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Cotter River Ordinance 1914-1928.

BE it ordained by the Governor-General of the Commonwealth Executive Council, in pursuance of the powers conferred by the of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Seat of Government Acceptance Act 1909 and the Seat of Govern-
ment (Administration) Act 1910-1930, as follows:—

1.— (1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Cotter River Ordinance' 1931.

(2.) The Cotter River Ordinance 1914-1928 is in this Ordi- nance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(3.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance, may be cited as the Cotter River Ordinance 1914-1931.

2. Section two of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting sub-section (1.) and inserting in its stead the following sub-section:—

" (1.) Any person who fishes for any fish or uses any device for taking fish in the Cotter River Reservoir being the waters stored or impounded for water supply purposes by the weir con- structed across the Cotter River shall be guilty of an offence.

Penalty: Ten pounds."

3. The First Schedule to the Principal Ordinance is omitted and the following Schedule inserted in its stead:—

THE FIRST SCHEDULE.

" All tha t piece of land situate in the Territory for the Seat of Govern- ment commencing at Coree Trigonometrical Station thence by a line bearing 54 degrees 24 minutes, and distant about 220 chains to a range forming the northern boundary of the Cotter River watershed, thence by that boundary generally, easterly to Trigonometrical Station McDonald, thence by a ridge southerly to the Cotter Weir, thence by the ranges forming the eastern, southern, and western watersheds of the Cotter River aforesaid to the point of commencement ".
